About me :)

My name is Angeli Aguirre. I am a 2020 graduate from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts as a double major in American Studies and Entertainment and Tourism. I am originally from the Bay Area; I was born in San Jose and I grew up in the East Bay. The decision to move to Southern California straight out of high school changed my life. As I have started my college journey at CSUF, I have been involved in several organizations such as the Pilipinx American Student Association, the Nikkei Student Union, and Tau Theta Pi. Being involved at California State University, Fullerton has provided me with experiences like no other and I have no regrets being super involved, even though I was constantly busy. Since I have graduated I have moved back to the Bay Area, actively searching for opportunities to help fulfill my goals.

One of the passions I have developed was rooted by a cultural club called the Pilipinx American Student Association, abbreviated as PASA. As a current third year, I held the position of Social Chair for the club for the Spring 2019 semester. The duties of the Social Chair is to plan events and socials for general members of the club so they can get to know each other better. It was my job to ensure that general members of the club built relationships with each other and also had fun while doing it. Additionally, I needed to plan an event called Spring Formal, which is essentially a formal end of year banquet. I was in charge of booking the venue, budgeting for the event. the decorations, the tickets, everything. As Social Chair, I developed many event planning skills as I needed to promote events, advertise socials, and get to know lots of new people. PASA impacted my life enormously and I don’t know where I would be without it today.

Another one of my passions is my sorority, Tau Theta Pi. It is indescribable how much a sisterhood could influence my life. As I have grown in my college career, I was able to meet wonderful women that I get to call my sisters. They have taught me so much about myself and have given my the best advice I could ask for. The bonds that are built in a sorority compare to no other.

As a busy college student, no one supports me more than my family. I thank my mother, father, and step mother every day for always being there for me no matter what I choose to pursue. I couldn’t have asked for a better support system.
